Desire Luzinda should be locked up and isolated- Lokodo

The minister for ethics and integrity Rev Fr Simon Lokodo has asked the police to investigate, arrest, lockup and also isolate singer Desire Luzinda over leaked nude pictures on social media.

Rev Fr Lokodo in an interview with this newspaper states that Desire Luzinda violated the anti pornography law by exposing her nudity to the entire social media public, thus should be investigated, let alone be arrested.

"She (Luzinda) is a culprit and has broken the anti-pornography law. I have directed the police to arrest her, but first they should investigate her" Rev Fr Lokodo said.

"You can imagine how she exposed pictures on Facebook, she should be locked up and isolated" He added.

Last Friday, pictures allegedly of Ms Luzinda were published on social media but questions remain as to how such publications could be stopped or prevented.

It is alleged the pictures were leaked following a disagreement between Ms Luzinda and her jilted lover.

Section 13 (1 and 2) of the Anti-pornography Act, make it illegal for a person to produce, traffic, publish any form of pornography and on conviction is liable to a fine of Shs10m or imprisonment not exceeding 10 years.

Section 13 (2). A person who produces or participates in the production of or traffics in, publishes, broadcasts, procures, imports, exports or in a way abets pornography contrary to subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding five hundred currency points or imprisonment not exceeding ten years or both

Pornography according to the anti-pornography law means any representation through publication, exhibition, cinematography, indecent show, information technology or by whatever means, of a person engaged in real or stimulated explicit sexual activities or any representation of the sexual parts of a person for primarily sexual excitement.
