Empower government institutions, Gen Muntu tells Museveni

Kibuku. Forum for Democratic Change party president Mugisha Muntu has urged President Museveni to empower government institutions and systems which are key to good governance.
“The problem with Mr Museveni is that he is insensitive to current politics that is why he continues to manipulate the constitution and Parliament. He has reduced Parliament to a one-mans’ institution,” Gen Muntu said.
Speaking during a thanksgiving party for MrFrancis Zindula Gonahasa, MP for Kabweri County, Gen Muntu said the President must address governance issues which are pertinent in development.
Gen Muntu said the President is a “crafty operator” and his cadres should get scared because he later turn around and abandon you completely.
“I have worked with Museveni from time to time. I know him in and out. For God’s sake, MPs across all the political divine should stand united, firm and defend the constitution for the interests of all Ugandans,” he pleaded.
He said Uganda awaits harder times if MPs dance to the tune of their master.
