Ivan Kamyuka handed three years for manslaughter

Ivan Kamyuka was accused of murdering John Ahimbisibwe aka Jonnie who was a Club Guvnor patron in 2015 has been found guilty of manslaughter.

Kamyuka was Thursday sentenced to a jail term of three years and eight months.

Justice Wilson Kwesiga who presided over a High Court session in Kampala declared that although the deceased provoked the accused by assaulting his [Kamyuka’s] wife, he used excessive force to deter him.

Justice Kwesiga allowed Kamyuka to speak to the deceased's family before his sentencing.
