Two Kenyan nationals arrested in Kampala over arms trafficking

Mr Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson, said Nataka Nasicho and Peter Mukua crossed into Uganda with intent of buying guns; a pistol at Shs1.5m and an SMG AK47.
He said the duos arrest came after the crime intelligence on July 15 analysed the pattern of cross border crimes and profiled the suspected criminals.

Mr Enanga said upon establishing their intent, the police rounded them up and they were taken to Jinja Road Police Station where they are being detained as investigations continue.
Police recovered exhibits such as a pistol, Ksh446 and Shs420000.
Similarly, Jinja Road Police Station are holding three suspected armed robbers who were arrested with an SMG AK47 rifle, five bullets, and a pair of ICT uniform. The suspects among them Mark Odyeny, Johnson Ouma and George Owal are all residents of Mutungo in Luzira, Nakawa Division.
