Monitor cover price remains Shs1,500

The Monitor newspapers’ cover price has not been increased and will remain at Shs 1,500 for both the Daily and weekend editions – the Saturday and Sunday Monitor, circulation manager Justus Katungi said Monday.
Mr Katungi said despite the current market conditions, which calls for a review of the cover prices, The Monitor Publications Ltd was still studying the environment and how to serve the market under the current conditions without increasing the cover price.
“Our readers and the general public are therefore advised to continue buying at the current cover price of Uganda Shillings 1,500. Should the newspaper’s cover price increase in future, we shall adequately inform the public about such an increment,” Mr Katungi said.
He said that the cover price for our other stable, the weekly sports publication Enyannda also remains at Shs 1,000.
