Police officer arrested over defilement

A police constable has been arrested after he was allegedly found defiling a 14-year-old daughter of a fellow officer in Hoima Police Barracks.
Mr Vincent Ssekate, the spokesman of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, confirmed the arrest of their officer.
"A defilement case under reference number 18/16/07/2017 has been opened against the officer number 62709 PC Samuel Kalikawe. He was caught in action. All evidence has been collected," Mr Ssekate said.

Ssekate added that Kalikawe was arrested by Police Professional Standards Unit officers and will be arraigned in court and charged as soon as investigations are complete.
