President Yoweri Museveni has urged the African countries and their people to remain united if they are to overcome any continental challenges like conflicts, unemployment and poverty, among others that have become eminent.

The president was today addressing pilgrims at the famous martyrs Shrine, Namugongo. In his message to thousands of pilgrims who thronged the martyrs’ shrine to celebrate the Uganda martyrs day, the president pledged for Government’s continued support to the church.

“You don’t have to worry. We are here to support you because this day is not for the church or Christians alone,”

Quoting the bible’s second greatest commandment- Love your neighbor as your self- Mr Museveni called for the need for good conduct amongst Christians since it is the yard stick by which they will judged.
“You will be judged by your conduct and actions,” reiterated Mr Museveni.
