MPIGI- Suspected iron bar hit men have killed Mpigi Town Council Male Youth Councillor, Tadeo Ssebunnya.
According to the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer in charge of Health and Education, Mr Michael Lutalo, the deceased, who has been the NRM youth chairman in the area, was attacked by suspected iron bar hit men at his home in Mpambire Village, on Friday.

“He was beaten terribly but died on Sunday night at Nsambya Hospital where he was rushed with deadly wounds on his head, thighs, and hands and on the back. We shall miss such a determined leader. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Mr Lutalo said in a text message he sent to this reporter on Monday.
During the attack, the deceased’s widow, Ms Sophia Ssebunnya was stabbed with a sharp object and she’s nursing serious wounds at Nsambya Hospital in Kampala.

Ms Ssebunya said the thugs broke into their house and reportedly demanded for money.
When they failed to get it, they unleashed terror on the victims.
Ms Ssebunya said the deceased was operating a hardware shop at Kalagala Trading Centre near their home and he was attacked moment after returning home from work at about 9:00pm.

“We condemn such acts which have led to loss of our brother’s life. We expect police to give us a report about the crime as soon as possible,” Mr Alex Mpoza, the Mpigi District Youth Council chairperson said.
