Three die, 190 cases reported as Measles breaks out in Kamuli

KAMULI- An outbreak of Measles in Kamuli District has killed three children and left about 190 sick, health officials have confirmed.

As a result, authorities have announced a mass Measles vaccination campaign in the seven sub-counties of the district.

The most affected sub-counties, according to the District Health Officer, Dr Aggrey Batezaki, are Namwendwa, Namasagali and Magogo.

Dr Batezaki said on Friday that the District has secured money for an emergency Measles vaccination campaign.
