Woman stabs husband for forcefully demanding sex

Police in Bundibugyo District are investigating circumstances under which a 38 year old man was stabbed by his wife in a fight over sex.

The incident occurred on Sunday night at Ngamba II village, Ngamba Parish, Ngamba Sub-County in Bundibugyo District.

According to the area Sub-County chairperson, Mr Siriwayo Baluku, the wife had allegedly denied sex to his husband, Mr Edmon Bakaswara, for close to a year.

He said that on the fateful night, Mr Bakaswara came home while drunk and started forcefully asking his wife for sex which she refused.

“The man came home drunk and demanded for sex from his wife, but the woman could not respond positively instead she became very angry and stabbed the husband with a panga in the head”, Baluku said.

Sources said the woman has been accusing her husband for failure to marry her officially and take bride price at her parent’s home.

By press time, Bakaswara was receiving medication at Kikyo health centre IV while his wife was still in police custody.
