Kampala- UCU have been impeccable in the Zuku University Basketball League so far.
Unbeaten in four of their games so far, UCU need two more victories against Makerere University and Uganda Martyrs University to complete their regular season games unbeaten and top Conference A.
Makerere are second in Conference A and should ideally be the biggest threat to UCU’s unbeaten run. But with UCU playing host to today’s action in Mukono, Makerere must work their feet and hands off to secure victory. The fact that it will be a night game (8pm), UCU could get a huge home crowd rallying behind them.
Before facing Makerere, UCU will entertain Uganda Martyrs, currently lying third in the Conference.
UCU comfortably beat Martyrs 68-50 in the first round with Jonathan Egau pouring in 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Egau will attempt to better his endividual display to help UCU notch a double against the Nkozi side. In the other games, Kisubi Brothers will hope to pick up their first win when they take on Makerere.
Besides UCU, Makerere have another assignment against IUIU, Mbale. However, IUIU should pose little threat to Makerere.

The day-long event will have three women’s games as well with UCU playing UMU while the IUIU, yet to win a game, will be in action twice against Makerere and Nkozi.
