Prince Wasajja lends royal touch to Rugby Coronation Cup

KAMPALA. Saturday’s national 7s leg, which will be hosted by Rimula Rhinos at Legends Rugby Club , will be different from many before.
Apart form being a national 7s tournament that will see competing teams gather points in their fight for the 7s title, it will also act as one of the avenues to celebrate Kabaka Ronald Muwenda’s 25th coronation.
And there was no better way to launch it than having Prince David Wasajja throwing his royal weight behind it during yesterday’s media briefing at Legends.

URU trustee
Prince Wasajja is not a greenhorn in rugby affairs.
He is a Uganda Rugby Union trustee and his time at Namilyango College must have brought him closer to the musclemen’s sport.
“Buganda kingdom emphasizes healthy living and rugby is a sport of healthy bodies and minds. How can we miss out on such an exciting event? The Kabaka appreciates the contribution of sports to the kingdom. Rugby is a fast growing sport and therefore we need to support it,” remarked Wasajja, who was flanked by Buganda Sports Minister Henry Ssekabembe.
Buzz Pirates, who lost last weekend’s final to Toyota Buffaloes, lead the 7s national circuit. Saturday’s tournament will have 12 and four men and women’s teams respectively.
