Tanzanian Bongo Flava artiste, Africa’s super star,  Naseeb Abdul Juma popularly known as Diamond Platinumz will be chief headliner at the Uganda Festival in  the world’s entertainment capital-Los Angeles.

The gathering that is the summer’s ultimate event is organized by Ugandans in the diaspora under their umbrella UNAA Causes will be a three day event starting September 2 to September 4 at the luxurious JW Marriott hotel.

The fun filled convention will kick start with a grand opening by the “Number one” singer and will proceed with performances from Ugandan artistes; Sheebah Karungi, David Lutalo and Navio Kigozi.

At the event, Africa’s Top Model Aamito Lagum, who is currently based in New York, will host a fashion show where different Diaspora designers will showcase their outfits. Sheila Gashumba and Robin Kisti will also host the Black Tie cocktail events during one of the days.

There will be a boat cruise dinner dubbed the Endless Dreams Dinner Cruise on the Endless Dreams Yacht to Rainbow Harbor- Long beach. “The Uganda Festival is about creating memories; there will also be  tours to Hollywood, Los Angeles area Museums, Disneyland, Universal studios, and more,” the organisers said.

“…..registration for the event is $199 (shs 676,600) for all hotel entertainment including the Black Tie dinner gala,  while those who would want to attend the grand opening featuring singer Diamond Platinumz will part with $50 (shs 170,000),the dinner boat cruise will cost $99 (shs 336,600),” a statement from UNAA Causes reads in part.

However, the three day convention will not be an only entertainment bonanza as there will also be a business expo, bringing together entrepreneurs from Africa and United States to share tips, experiences and opportunities.
