Revellers party to dawn as Bobi Wine launches Size Yo

There was a lot of traffic jam for almost the whole day on the dusty Busabaala Road that leads to artiste Bobi Wine’s One Love beach, last Saturday. The proggie: Size yo music concert.

Despite the bad record of the beach not having enough security, the bad road and the fact that the beach is located far away from the city centre, there was a mammoth crowd which included both children and adults.

The show, unlike other events in the city, had no time or sound limits.

Bobi Wine took to the stage at a few minutes past midnight to kick start his performance. With Solid band set, the lights were switched off as the band played the National Anthem. The lights were then switched on again as they welcomed Bobi Wine who came singing Mazzi Mawanvu, he was dressed in a white t-shirt and white pants with black boots and a black baseball cap.

The self proclaimed Gheto gladiator then thanked fans for shwoing up in big numbers despite the negative publicity showered on the beach.
“With all the bad things that people say about One Love Beach, I am so humbled that you managed to ignore all that and come in big numbers,” Bobi Wine said. He gave the fans two full hours of a live musical feast as he performed songs like Kagoma, Badda, Taata wabaana, Kiwani, Funtula , Carolina, amongst others.

Towards the end of his performance, he sang his latest songs like Burn them which he did with legendary Jamaican female dancehall artiste Patra, Dilemma with Mr G and Cindy, Byekwaso, Time bomb among others, he concluded the show with Song Size yo.

Other artistes who shared the stage with Bobi Wine included Dr Jose Chameleone, who wowed the fans when he got off the stage to perform in the audience, Radio and Weasel also put up a wonderful performance. Other artistes included Gravity Omutujju, Sizzaman, David Lutalo, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Big Eye, Young Mulo amongst others.

Even after all the artistes had performed, the revellers staye at the beach and partied till the wee hours.

Meanwhile, the show at some point came to a stand when Big Eye tried to fight a DJ before thousands of revellers. During his performance, the DJ switched off the music, and the furious Big Eye started fighting him. Security took him away as a mob attempted to beat up the artiste
