13-year-old boy charged with defilement in Kampala
A 13-year-old boy has been arraigned before High Court in Kampala and charged with aggravated defilement.
The juvenile offender was Tuesday charged before Justice Yasin Nyanzi. He denied the offence.
The judge remanded him to Naguru remand home until January 30, 2020 when he will re-appear for hearing of the case.
Prosecution states that the Juvenile offender, a resident of Busukuma in Wakiso District, on August 6, 2017 at Nabitalo village in Wakiso District had sexual intercourse with a seven-year-old girl.
According to the evidence before court both juveniles were staying in the same neighbourhood.
If convicted, he’s liable to a sentence of not more than five years in Kampiringisa Rehabilitation Centre.
