Kabaka Mutebi cuts cabinet to 14 members, Mpanga no longer AG

Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II has trimmed his cabinet from 23 to 14 members in a new reshuffle where Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has retained his position.
The new changes have seen merging of different ministries with now education and health, social development under a new set up of community development to be headed by Prosperous Nankindu Kavuma.
Senior lawyer David Mpanga has been dropped from the position of Attorney General and appointed to a junior special duties ministry.
In the new cabinet announced on Friday, Kabaka Mutebi also dropped his former confidant, Apollo N. Makubuya who has been the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister (Katikkiro) and Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the kingdom. Makubuya has been designated as the senior advisor in the kingdom.
Waggwa Nsibirwa who has formerly served as the minster for the treasury now becomes the second deputy Prime Minister.

David KyewalabyebMale has been moved from Buganda Land board to Ministry of culture.

Also dropped is former first deputy Katikkiro Emmanuel Ssendawula who sources said asked Kabaka to be retired over advanced age. He is replaced by his former deputy and education minister Kigongo Twaaha Kaawaase who will also head administrative issues.
Former Lukiiko speaker Nelson Kawalya has been replaced by former Kyadondo chief Patrick Mugumbule. Ahmed Lwasa retains his deputy speaker seat.
Christopher Bwanika is now the minster for local governments, a position also formerly held by Mr Mpanga.
Noah Kiyimba retains his position as information minister.
