The fire that broke out at Park View Shopping Centre in Kampala on Sunday morning has been contained.

The fire started in Paradise Restaurant on the fifth floor of Park View Shopping Centre at around 7.30AM.

Mr Herman Okiria, a security guard on the building, said the fire started from a charcoal stove that was left unattended too inside the restaurant.

"Someone lit the charcoal stove and left it unattended to for a long time, thus causing a fire outbreak," he said.

Mr Okiria however, said they managed to contain it before spreading to other areas.
