ENTEBBE: The general overseer of the National Fellowship of Born again Pentecostal Churches of Uganda (NFBPC) Bishop Joshua Lwere has urged government to uphold a good image of the country through rule of law if they are to market natural resources to outside countries and foreign tourists.

“Our interest is that we need to treat our people well and humanely as well as maintain the rule of law. Once we do that, then we can be able to sell our image,” he said.
Bishop Lwere made the remarks while addressing journalists at the sendoff of Mr Horst H. Schulze, the chairman and chief executive officer at Capella Hotels and Resorts in Entebbe after his five day visit to Uganda.
Mr Schulze who visited Kidepo National park said there was need to create more awareness about Uganda’s beauty since as a country, its image had been tainted.

“We heard a lot of bad things about Uganda but as a traveler, I have never been positively impressed by what I have seen. I assure you the beauty and positive impact that was given to me by everybody in this shows your very warm and hospitable people,” he said.

Mr Horst said there was need to improve on the roads in the country as a way of promoting the tourism sector in the country.
Mr Sabila Chemonges, a board member with the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) said there was need to market the country through promoting investment in the tourism industry.
“There is no other way. You have to improve by committing to work together and promote our country,” he said.
