Masaka. Not even the early morning downpour could dampen the mood at the Masaka Nyendo Grounds when the Supreme Challenge Cup caravan made its stop in Masaka on Sunday.
The tournament, launched early this year in Mukono, and sponsored by Mandela Group under their Supreme brand, attracted 16 teams from the Greater Masaka region playing in a 7-aside format.

Centenary High School emerged winners after beating Kinoni B in the finals with a lone strike from striker Ivan Mayanja.
Centenary High School, eliminated Lukaya with a 1-0 victory, started the final on a high but missed a glorious chance that Mayanja failed to convert after beating the opposition ‘keeper.
The schoolboys pressed hard until when Mayanja redeemed himself with a low shot off a counter attack.

They kept dominating play and showing intent but forward Emma Kato failed to double their fortunes from an open chance.
According to organizers, the tournament will traverse the country with an aim of identifying and promoting talent.
City Tyres, also under the Mandela Group, have supported the U-14 tournament for the last 22 years.
