Uganda faces Burkina Faso again in 2021 Afcon qualifiers

KAMPALA. Uganda Cranes will square off again against Burkina Faso when the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification gets underway on October 7 this year.

The Cranes are pooled in Group B in the draws held in Zamalek, Egypt on Thursday. The other teams in the group include Malawi and the preliminary round winner between South Sudan and Seychelles.

Uganda were in the same group with Burkina Faso in the 2017 Nations Cup qualifiers, which saw the Cranes end a four decade absence from the finals as runners up. The Cranes lost 1-0 away and drew goalless at home.

African legends Nwankwo Kanu, Kalilou Fadiga and Raba Najja graced the draws that were also attended by the Caf President Ahmad Ahmad.
