The Consumers Choice Awards 2020/2021 took plae on March 31, 2021 at Golf course hotel. The awards ceremony was graced by Cabinet Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Amelia Kyambadde as the Guest of Honor.

A number of service providers walked away with awards for providing consumers with the best services for the year.

The awards were established with the sole purpose of recognizing business excellence for businesses. The Consumers Choice Awards were a success as the only organization in Uganda to recognize business excellence by conducting statistically a comprehensive and objective accurate independent market research survey, to determine brand reputation, customer satisfaction and business excellence for the quality of their service, value, professionalism and integrity.

Speaking to the media at Golf Course, Mr Bari Salim the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the Consumer Guide Magazine said the awards also aim at honoring companies and individuals who go that extra distance for their customers and also make sure they get the recognition they so richly deserve.

You can’t easily win a consumer’s choice award by just completing an entry form or writing a submission. You must be voted by consumers across Uganda and last evening the winners were awarded.

According to Salim, for the recipient, the award is not only a unique achievement to help them stand out in a competitive market but also represents the knowledge that they have earned the trust and loyalty of the customers. He explains that the award also provides for the recipients’ company with a very powerful validation of their customers’ satisfaction and business excellence.

Some of the winners included Stanbic Bank, Case Clinic, Plascon paints and Harris International among other service providers.
