Peek at the wear

What you need to know:

Picnic wear ruled. Men rock casual and picnic wear, writes Pauline Bangirana.

It was the second edition of Kampala Fashion Week, the brain Child of fashion designer Gloria Wavamunno. The event kicked off, with a handful male models strutting the runway showcasing tunics made with a touch of silk and letter print blazers from soft cotton. Wavamunno showcased a collection that comprised casual, formal, picnic pieces while Vogue Atelier from South Sudan showcased bridal wear and what one can possibly wear to a wedding. Fashion designers such as Haute Baso from Rwanda, J&Kaine Mbabazi from Uganda, Definition Africa, Jose’ Hendo, Catherine &Sons, MD-Morine Designers, Kwesh/Kona had collections that left the crowd gaping and cheering on the models.
