What you need to know:

Significant effect. Seemingly insignificant, shaping your eyebrow totally transforms your overall facial grooming.

Eyebrows, after the eyes, always attract attention when someone looks at you. So that means the right shape, will get you looking flawless, while the wrong shape will give you a bad finish. Getting a great eyebrow begins with a proper trim, great fill in, and then the final touch up.

What you need to know though is that this is a very length process, and it may not be something that you can do every morning. But you can do it, occasionally, for a special event or function.

To begin with, you will need;
• Eyebrow pencils and brush
• Tweezers
• Smaller scissors
• Eye pencil
• Concealer
The steps to having the perfect eyebrow
• To begin with, comb out your eye brows with the brush, upwards and downwards.
• Then proceed to trim out the extra ends that go beyond the brow line.
• Then tweeze the eyebrow, to take out the tiny little hairs around the eye. Some people opt to use a razor blade, but Muhanguzi explains that a pair of tweezers is always better because a razor blade can be rough.
• The next step is to draw the brow, using an eye pencil. Select a pencil shade that matches your eyebrow shade. By drawing, you are shaping the brow. Begin by lining down and up and then fill in the eyebrow. If you have thick eye rows, however, you may not need to fill in the eyebrow.
• After filling in the eye, then brush out the eye brow, to give it a natural finish.
• The next step is to apply foundation, or concealer around the brow to give it definition. The concealer should be a little lighter than your skin tone.

Some eyebrow basics

Our guest makeup artiste today is Faith Muhanguzi, who is also a fashion designer at Fayson@Last. She explains all you need to know about the eyebrow, and why the tiny eyebrows are no longer trending.

The basics when it comes to eyebrow make up
Before you embark on drawing your eyebrows, you need to know that the final look should be natural. If you are using an eye pencil, ensure that it shouldn’t be thick. The aim is to simply draw out your eyebrows, not make you look artificial.

Eyebrow drawing for all face types
An eyebrow should be drawn to suit your face type. The long faces should be matched with the round brows, while the arced brow works best on the round faces. It gives the illusion of an elongated face.

The trending eyebrow
Cutting out your eyebrows too thin is not trending anymore. The thick eyebrows are trending now. They stand out more, and give more definition to your eyes.

The length of your eyebrow.
The brow is divided into three parts. Part one is the starting point of the brow, and this one should coordinate with the corner of your eye. The second part which is the arc makes two thirds of your brow. Then there is the tail, which should also stop right at the other corner of the eye.
