Why do you read books?
I enjoy reading books. I started reading at an early age and a book has always been my companion, and a way to visit places I may never get to. I find books to be resourceful and it provides me with knowledge and entertainment. Whatever information I need I find in books. There are things that no one will tell you but you will find in books. I am interested in writing and reading books is the only way I can learn to write nice stories. I can learn how great writers tell their stories and the different ways in which writers can tell stories.

What excites you in book?
Holding a new book I have never read before is very exciting. I know that I will have a wonderful time with a book, getting all that knowledge that a writer has spent so much time to put together. I love the way writers seduce readers with beautiful language.

A story well told is like watching a movie. You can see everything in your mind and I like that I can participate in the creation of the story in that way. I love to find new things in people’s cultures.

Which are some the most memorable books you have read?
I read John Grisham’s legal thriller, The Pelican Brief when I was in secondary school and I have never forgotten it. The book kept me on the edge. I wanted to know what would happen next so I had to keep reading to find out.

Charles Dicken’s novels like Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, and Great Expectation. Charles Dickens’ characters are so memorable; you cannot forget Oliver Twist, Pip and David Copperfield when you have read the books. He paints vivid descriptions that are hard to forget. This is a must read for most women, Fascinating Womanhood by Helen Andeli. This book teaches people how to be happy in their relationships.

Which character do you like the most?
Stephanie Plum, the main character in One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. Stephanie is in trouble and she needs money so she gets a job she is not qualified to do. It is a risky and dangerous job but she does it anyway. I admire her strength and bravery to survive in a harsh world in order to get what she needs - money.

Which books are you reading?
I am reading The Bonds of Love: Psychoanalysis, Feminism, & the Problem of Domination by Jessica Benjamin describes how to create bonds with the people in our lives. This book explains men and many women can learn more about men. I am also enjoying reading My Sister, My Love by Joyce Carol Oates, the story revolves around the death of a six year old girl.
