What you need to know:

The lesson from all these is that it is critical that we embrace and adapt to the changes around us including the career

If I could erase one thing from existence, even the memory of the thing, it would have to be…

The moment I missed a big opportunity because of the fear. I have since learnt that we should never let fear thwart our goals.

The proudest moment in my career has been…

Building strong brands and seeing businesses grow make me feel I am making a contribution to nation-building. My efforts have seen businesses become profitable and recognisable, globally.

A dream client for me would have to be…

A client who trusts me with making business decisions on their behalf and guiding their business process.  This is because I may discern an idea which is new but will result in great success for the company. I am all for innovation and I would appreciate a client who will trust my guidance and give me a chance to drive a company in the right direction.

If I were a fashion icon, the fashion trends I would start with are...

Classic pieces. Nothing beats them. I also love bright colours as well as African inspired pieces and would definitely ensure these turn out to be a global sensation.

The turnaround moment for me in my career was…

I have had a few turnaround moments in my career. Some have included graduating at the height of a financial crisis in New York. Also, the birth of my children and Covid-19.  The lesson from all these is that it is critical that we embrace and adapt to the changes around us including the career. That ability to pivot can bring dramatic results. For instance, working remotely has brought me a lot of business opportunities.

The person I consider my family that is not actually related to me is…

Friends turned family. They are the best interest of the children and family. They do not destroy but rather build the family unit. They are also interested in my career growth and bring business opportunities my way.

The best way to express love in my opinion is by…

Being authentic, using words and actions. I do not want to be a mind reader. Assumptions can result in misunderstandings.

My thoughts on sharing my password…

If my husband asked for it, I would share it.

One behaviour I refused to tolerate is…

Failure to recognise or give credit where it is due. For instance, a person makes a deal and becomes instrumental in the success of that deal and then a person chooses to act like they were never a part of that deal. That is a no for me. We have to stop the greedy mentality. There is enough room to share the shine, so give credit where it is due.
