Morning accident paralyses Kampala city

An accident on Jinja road has this morning paralysed movements in Kampala. The accidents that happened along Jinja road near Wampewo avenue blocked motorist driving in and out of the city center.

Mr Opus Justin, the Officer in Charge of traffic at the Central Police Station said the accident involved three vehicles, a coaster No plate UAJ 184N, a police truck No UP 5630 which was carrying 30 police officers and a Fuso truck which was carrying beer.

He said that all the vehicles were coming from Jinja road heading to the city centre

"The Fuso truck rammed into the Coaster and the coaster knocked the Police truck from behind and they overturned," said Mr Opus.

He said that all the casualties were taken to Mulago hospital for treatment.
