Postmortem rules out foul play in death of Kibuule’s twins

A post-mortem examination conducted by police authorities has found that Mr Ronald Kibuule’s twins drowned in a swimming pool and ruled out any foul play.
The Director of Police Medical Services, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Dr. Moses Byaruhanga, said on Tuesday that the postmortem found nothing suspicious during the examination of the bodies of the children.
“There was nothing suspicious, the children just drowned,” Dr Byaruhanga, a police surgeon told Daily Monitor.
He said the postmortem had been conducted at the City Mortuary in Kampala and the bodies had been taken by the family for burial.
The bodies arrived at the minister’s home in Mbalala, Mukono District this morning, ahead of prayers for the family.
Police authorities arrested two men after the incident. The ministers’ house attendants remain in police custody pending investigations into the circumstances that led to the death of children on Monday evening.
Kibuule speaks out
Mr Kibuule has told Daily Monitor that the burial will take place on Wednesday.
According to the minister, President Yoweri Museveni had sent a condolence message to the family on the passing of the two boys.
