Traffic diverted as Fuel tanker explodes in Naalya

olice have advised motorists who intend to use the northern bypass to consider taking different routes following a fuel tanker explosion in Naalya, Kira Municipality, in Kyaddondo County, Wakiso District.
Eye witnesses say the truck believed to be carrying fuel exploded into flames after colliding with another car that was trying to overtake the lorry.
The resultant friction, according to police could have sparked the fire.
Fire-fighters have spent close to four hours to extinguish the fire.
Mr Bernard Ssembusi, a police fire-fighter said they have contained the fire although the section of the road is still closed.
