Gov’t optimistic railway line works soon to be complete

Revamping and rehabilitation of the old metre gauge railway line from Malaba to Kampala is nearing completion. State minister for work Fred Byamukama says rehabilitation works are now 90 per cent complete. The delay, according to the Uganda Railways Corporation, is due to encroachment by residents along the line from Mukono to Kampala.
