NUP calls on President to take action against security agencies

The National Unity Platform (NUP) has tasked President Museveni to punish the security personnel who are behind reports of torture against unarmed civilians. They argue that the president, who has railed against torture on national television should act in the same regard. The call follows persistent reports of civilian detainees who are routinely tortured and in many cases maimed.
