Police appeal for welfare boost to curb corruption

The police are appealing to the government to address their welfare to help them curb corruption among their ranks. According to Amuru District Police Commander SSP Phillip Mukasa, this is the biggest factor promoting the extortion of money from members of the public in the form of bribery, deemed corruption. The call from the police came as the Inspectorate of Government held an engagement with civil servants in Amuru district.
