Dress for the gym

People could wear jeans to the gym whose tough material can’t make you stretch properly.
According to Ben Byekwaso, a gym instructor at Tanemus Shape-up Spot in Kyaliwajjala, different types of outfit are chosen to enable you work out in comfort. He explains what one should consider while going to the gym.

Pants
While one is in the gym, Byekwaso says, they can wear any pant that they feel they are comfortable in. Sweat pants and bikini tights are fit for the gym, when one is jogging; sweat pants and truck suits are the best they can wear.

This is because they help them stretch properly because that the pants themselves are stretchy. Bikini pants are good when one is doing squats, they do not limit movements and they also hold the muscles tight.

Underwear
While in the gym, one needs underwear that won’t show anything on the outside, muscles tights are the best, Byekwaso recommended. Boxers without pants are not allowed in the gym because they can embarrass and at the same time they limit vigorous movements.

Shoes
Before you choose a pair of shoes for gym training, it is important to think about what you plan to do at the gym. Common gym activities include weight lifting, exercising on various cardiovascular training machines, stretching and participating in a variety of group fitness classes.

Within those activities, you may have favourites that are important to plan for. Perhaps you spend most of your time jogging on the treadmill, lifting moderately heavy weights, going to an indoor cycle class or doing agility drills with a personal trainer.

If you run or jog regularly at the gym, you may want to buy specialised shoes. If you do a bit of everything, a pair of cross trainers is a perfect pick for you.

Well-padded sneakers which protect your ankles are recommended. While working out, for example, while jogging or jumping, the ankles get in contact with the shoes. If they are not soft enough, the friction may bruise the ankles.
