Pine murder: Police took photos of blood traces in car at the scene

KAMPALA- A police officer on Wednesday told court that there were blood traces in the car that transported the late Donah Betty Katusabe's body from her residence in Bwebajja on Entebbe Road to Pine car bond in Kampala where she met her death.

Detective Corporal Alex Micheal Osekei was testifying in the case in which Muhammed Ssebuwufu, the owner of the car bond and seven others, are accused of killing Katusabe using sticks and pangas over a Shs9m debt.

β€œOn October 25, 2015, I received a call from the inspector in charge of scenes of crime, Superintendent of Police (SP) Pius Caningom, that I should join him carry out examination on the motor vehicle which was then parked at CPS.I was assigned to take pictures and some were of suspected blood stains at the drivers headrest,” Mr Osekei testified.

He explained that he was as well assigned the duty of taking pictures at the scene of crime (Pine car bond) which he did, and also captured suspected blood stains on the walls of pine car bond.

Mr Oseki said that still soil samples with blood drops were as well picked from the scene of crime and taken for examination.

Others suspects in the case are; Godfrey Kayiza alias Godi, Shaban Odutu alias Golola, Philip Mirambe and Stephen Lwanga, Paul Tasingika, Yoweri Kitayimbwa and Damaseni Sentongo. Besides murder, they are charged with aggravated robbery and Kidnap with intent to murder.
