Brace yourselves for worst; CMI is back on the streets

On Thursday, October 18, Mr Yusuf Kawoya was kidnapped by gunmen dressed in civvies. A TV cameraman in the vicinity captured the brutal kidnap (an arrest?). His exclusive video clip went viral on social media and traditional channels.
On Friday, October 19, when the various security agencies were still denying responsibility of what I now call the Colville Street Kidnap Incident, I posted something on Facebook. Below is what I posted:
‘About the clip, it is not CMI because: We don’t have staff with pot bellies like that guy; we are smarter than that; we don’t always outsource because we know what operational outsourcing led Gen Tiya Gasi into. Disambiguation: The use of a first person plural subject ‘we’ doesn’t mean I am with the notorious CMI. I am just quoting a former friend who works with the said CMI.’
On Wednesday, October 24, I made another Facebook post thus: ‘I have two FB posts to publish:
‘When CMI arrests me, what reasons do you think they will give for my brutal arrest? He has been masquerading as a security operative.
He is one of us and we have taken him in for a service offence. He is just ugly - the new law allows us to dispose of ugly things and keep the streets clean. Just for just. We just want him - kasta we shall take him to court.
‘It was the ‘most ugly’ cover up and those responsible must be held accountable.’ What incident do you think I am talking about? The Kashoggi murder in Constantinople (Istanbul). The brutal arrest of a certain Mr Yusuf Kawooya by CMI things.
Dear reader, since I always write in tongues, I should get these Facebook posts broken and here it is: In the October 19 Facebook post, I said the CMI doesn’t have potbellied operatives. Indeed, the guy who appeared before the Unit Disciplinary Tribunal didn’t have a pot belly like the guy who was captured on camera hitting Mr Kayooya with a gun butt. This world…!
In the October 24 Facebook post, this is what I meant: The CMI is back on the streets. They will arrest you for whatever their fancy is and then go shopping for a reason to tell the public. Just pray, they won’t ‘arrest’ me for being ugly and later accuse me of being a witch.

The first security agency to ‘run’ Kampala was ISO under Brig Jim Muwhezi (now Maj Gen (retired); as the Police’s Special Branch ran a parallel job. Then Brig Jim Muwhezi and D/ACP Bruhan Byenkya, the director of Police’s Special Branch, developed issues over ‘who was who’. In a very short time, Special Branch just disappeared…
Then the diplomatic incident involving the Sudanese Embassy in Kampala happened. From that time, ISO ceased to be the same old ISO we used to know.
But as ISO was running down, CMI was gaining prominence as the main ‘security cop’ in town. In fact during the reign of Tolit, Mayombo, Tumukunde, CMI agents could do as they wished.
It was actually during the reign of Brig James Mugira (now Maj Gen) that CMI agents were removed from the streets. As Gen Mugira removed CMI from the streets, he was actually giving way to the police force under Gen Kale Kayihura.
Since the police force under IGP Martins Okoth-Ochola and Brig Sabiiti Muzeyi is under some kind of self-reflection, CMI has taken over the city.
Fellow citizens, brace yourself for the CMI. While they may take me in for just being ugly, do you know what they will take you in for?
