Football stars Honda and Muntari to share experiences with youth

KAMPALA- Japanese star forward Keisuke Honda is expected to arrive in the country this afternoon as part of his role as a Global Advocate for Youth at the United Nations Foundation.
The 31-year-old playmaker who left Italian giants AC Milan at the end of last season will be accompanied by Ghanaian great Sulley Muntari is expected to mobilize action to address major challenges faced by young people around the world.
He will also engage youth in support of the vital work of the United Nations to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

During his three-day visit to Uganda, he is expected to hold a soccer clinic at Kamwokya Kataka Ground with a number of football academies in the area including Excel Soccer Academy. He will share unique football experiences with youth groups and will engage key stakeholders to create synergies that will generate opportunities for Ugandan youth, through sport.
Muntari and Honda played together at AC Milan in 2015 but both are currently unattached after leaving Pescara and Milanese club respectively.
Honda is a hugely popular figure in Japan having made 90 appearances, scoring 36 goals for the Asian country.

The 32-year-old Muntari has spent most of his career in Italy. He won the Champions League in 2010.
