Kampala.

Having finished second the season before, Nkumba University last season showed signs of decline after settling for a third-place finish in the Pepsi University Football League.
Despite the slide, few would still have predicted the Nkumba-based institution failing to get out of the group stages in the current season.
It came to pass yesterday after losing 2-1 away to Kampala University (KU) at Villa Park.
The result left them with a single point after four games, five points behind KU with leaders St. Lawrence on 10. Goalkeeper Michael Kalule will take most of the blame after his two mistakes led to Richard Tumusiime and John Bosco goals. This was after Derrick Kiberu gave Nkumba an early lead in the pulsating encounter.
Today, two-time champions Makerere University Business School host YMCA Comprehensive Institute at Nakawa needing a win to secure a top-two finish and qualification to the knockout stage.
Mubs are second on the log with five points from four games while YMCA are third on the log with a point behind after three games.
With Kyambogo University having virtually qualified for the knockout stage as they need only one point from their remaining two games, the winner of this game is likely to be the other team to qualify from this group.
Mubs lost 1-0 to YMCA at Buwambo in the first round and must avoid defeat if they are to keep alive their hopes of finishing in the top two.
