Mulindwa jealous of Villa, says club VP

SC Villa vice president Peter Ssenkungu

Masaka. SC Villa vice president Peter Ssenkungu has hit back at Vipers president Lawrence Mulindwa after the latter accused the club’s leadership of having instigated the vandalism of St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.
Speaking to Daily Monitor yesterday, Ssenkungu condemned the violence in the 1-0 defeat of Villa but took a swipe at Mulindwa.
“Mr Mulindwa should know that his stadium isn’t a glass,” Ssenkungu remarked.

“Should we just keep quiet when some people are using money to get results? We have won 16 trophies but you won’t hear anyone saying we connive with referees.

“He (Mulindwa) is just jealous of our reputation.” On Monday, Mulindwa told a press conference that he was going to ensure that the culprits from Saturday face justice.
“We have information that the the plan to cause mayhem was hatched at Villa Park, and we are going to do everything to ensure that we bring the goons to book. This madness will not happen again,” an angry Mulindwa warned.
