My wife packs for me lunch daily

Felix Mubangizi

What you need to know:

  • THE KNIGHT: Felix Mubangizi, has two great passions in his life; photography and a close relationship with God. He believes couples cheat because they chose the wrong partner to begin with.
  • This is a challenge he does not anticipate in his own marriage because his long walk with the Lord, led him to his wife, writes Charlotte Ninsiima.

Who is Felix Mubangizi?
Mubangizi is a businessman, photographer, videographer and multitalented person in the media fraternity. In addition to that, I am also a preacher and a happily married man with two children.
What are you passionate about?
My first, passion is the gospel. I spend most hours reading books about the gospel. My second passion is photography and videography which I also do for a living.

What keeps you on top of your game?
I work to make the world a better place, besides working to get money, I always want to make my clients happy. Thus I make sure I deliver on time and deliver what I promise. I find that in my determination to give my best, I keep getting better.

What keeps the love burning in marriage?
Communication, tolerance, understanding and above all, love is always the pillar of all things. Even if one has wronged you, love should never be withdrawn. Amidst anything, love should always bring you back together. It breaks my heart to see how little love there is in the world. A little love can make a big difference, never pass up an opportunity to show love and care for anyone.
Do you believe there is a right woman for every man?
Yes I do. I also believe there is one right woman for every man because there is a vacuum in every human that can be filled by one other human.

Why do men tend to have a several women?
Maybe in the first place, they did not choose the right people, as they start spending more time with them, they realise that the vacuum cannot be filled by this one. So they are forced go out and begin the search afresh. Sometimes it also depends how people were brought up; there are those who cannot appreciate the one thing they own, so they will always be looking for someone else. What they fail to realise is that what they are looking for is not out there but within themselves, if they learned the habit of contentment, the person they have would be enough.

The most memorable moment…
My first birthday party. I grew up in a family that did not celebrate birthdays, my wife threw me my very first one.
What can’t you tolerate in a woman?
I cannot tolerate disrespect, nagging and passing judgment, especially before hearing the other person’s side of story. I also have issues with selfish and uncommitted women. You find a married woman building her own house on the side and when the man is struggling to provide for the family.

What was your childhood dream?
I always dreamt of becoming an engineer, in fact I talked about it so much that everyone started calling me engineer Mubangizi. Later on I fell in love with media especially film making and graphics that why I changed courses.
What inspired you to start preaching?
When I was younger, I used to go to different schools to preach. I wanted to continue ministering to these people who by now were at university so I started the Spirit Gates fellowship at Hotel Equatoria in 2017. We are growing and meet every Friday.

How did you and your wife meet?
I met her at a Christian gathering at a certain fellowship, as soon as I looked at her I lost concentration, could not take my eyes off her. When the preacher asked the congregation to greet each other, she is the one I greeted and fell in love with her. I stalked her sister’s Facebook page, looked for her name and sent her a message, it all started from there.
How do you keep in shape?
First of all, I fast; it helps to reduce the fat, do gym and eat healthy. I realized the more fat I consumed, the more stress, weakness I endured in the body. I pack lunch from home. My wife wakes up early and cooks food for me.
