My daughters are married to two Banyankole boys. Anyway, a husband from Karamoja is like a husband from Buganda or Ankole except in performance," Dr Mugerwa said when asked to explain how land practices are changing.

Former National Planning Authority chairman Dr Wilberforce Kisamba Mugerwa has warned the land probe that if they have any good ideas about land, they must first sell it to President Museveni to own it.

Responding to Chairperson Catherine Bamugemereire, how to market an idea to President Museveni, Dr Kisamba used a metaphor of wowing a girl.

"If you wow a girl, you must choose the timing very well. If your timing is wrong, you will be rejected and you will be embarrassed publicly," he said.

Dr Mugerwa told the land probe on Thursday that if they can get President Museveni to own the idea to abolish Mailo land in Uganda, he will own it and announce it as his own.
According to him, the land culture in Uganda is changing.
"Land, like Society is dynamic.

My daughters are married to two Banyankole boys. Anyway, a husband from Karamoja is like a husband from Buganda or Ankole except in performance," Dr Mugerwa said when asked to explain how land practices are changing.

Dr Mugerwa told the commission investigating land matters not to worry about land grabbers saying they will eventually abandon the vice.
He said that as people acquire more skills and technology, the land grabbers will have no use for the large tracts of land.
He said that France only uses three percent of their land to grow food while Uganda is using over 60 percent.
