Abim- Police in Abim District are holding four district officials who allegedly stole a power generator,  several solar panels and iron sheers valued at Shs500million.

Mr Robert Katuramu, the Abim District Police Commander said the suspects will be charged with theft and abuse of office.

He said the officials were arrested after a tip off by concerned residents who saw them transporting the equipment that was meant for a piped water project in Abim District.

According to Mr Katuramu, the officials are still in custody but they will be produced in court.
