Last year, Ugandan musician Moses Sekibogo commonly known as Mowzey Radio succumbed to head injuries he sustained in a bar brawl in Entebbe, Wakiso District.

Two men are detained at Katwe Police Station in connection to a brawl at Wine Bar in Makindye division in Kampala leading to the death of another reveller identified as Bright Musisi.
The Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesman, Luke Owoyesigyire identified the suspects as Henry Kalanzi and Nicholas Kirumira, both residents of Kirombe zone in Makindye Division.

The two are said to have assaulted Musisi to death in the wee hours of Sunday morning at Wine Bar.
According to Owoyesigyire, an eye witness Wycliffe Twinamatsiko brought Musisi's death to the attention of police.
"Twinamatsiko reported at Katwe that Musisi had been murdered at around 4am at Wine Bar in Makindye by unknown person. Further information was received that the deceased had been beaten and rushed to Malcolm Clinic where he was pronounced dead," Owoyesigyire said.

Owoyesigyire says police launched a hunt for Musisi's killers but witnesses pointed to Kalanzi and Kirumira.
"It is alleged that a fight erupted between Musisi, Kalanzi and Kirumira. In the scuffle, Musisi was fatally beaten leading to his death," Owoyesigyire said.

Musisi's body was handed over to Mulago National Referral hospital morgue for postmortem.
This is not the first case of a bar brawl leading to death.

Radio was hit at De Bar on January 22 and he spent several days in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Case hospital at Buganda Road where he was pronounced dead on February 1.
