Kampala. In winning six straight league titles, City Oilers have pretty much achieved everything that is there to win in National Basketball League.
But as they chase an unprecedented seventh league crown that will see them edge ahead of Falcons, they also want to do it in a more attractive manner.

“The wins are important, but the way that we play is also as important. We want to play the right way,” City Oilers captain Jimmy Enabu noted after his side’s 83-79 win over KIU Titans on Friday evening.
The victory was his team’s third in as many games in a sequence that has now seen them defeat the two teams they overcame in last season’s playoff final Betway Power and semifinals KIU.
Asked whether it opened up the prospect of going the entire regular season unbeaten, the usually reserved Oilers captain for once dropped his guard.

“It’s a target, but we’ll take a game at a time,” he added.
The guard scored 14 points with Landry Ndikumana and James Okello contributing 15 points apiece, the latter adding 11 rebounds as they held off KIU’s late challenge.
Dennis Balungu meanwhile top scored for KIU with 23 points and Michael Bwanga added 16 but they are now 1-2 for the season after also losing to Betway Power.
