Iriama, who went ahead to pick nomination forms, failed to turn up for nomination. Although she didn't agree with the results when it emerged that both the district leadership of Moroto and MPs from within the region joined hands in support of her opponent, Ms Iriama seems to have finally obliged to party leadership.
Her move can be understood following a meeting with the NRM secretary general, Ms Justine Kasule Lumumba on Wednesday. In the meeting, Lumumba agreed with party delegates who asked her to ensure that Ms Iriama is given another job.

Ms Lumumba promised to arrange for a meeting with President Museveni and NRM members to heal the wounds.
At about 5:10pm, Ms Atyang was pronounced unopposed by the district registrar Moroto, Ms Joyce Achan.
Mr Simon Nangiro, the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party coordinator for Karamoja Sub-region says they could not interfere with NRM since late Logiel was from NRM.
Meanwhile, Ms Atyang says her priority is to reconcile with Ms Iriama and her supporters in order to serve Moroto community diligently.
Mr Iriama could not be reached for comment at the time of filing this report.
