Several injured in Mityana Link bus accident

Traffic Police is investigating circumstances under which a link bus heading to Kampala from Kasese district lost control and overturned in a valley injuring several passengers.

According to the traffic police spokesperson Charles Ssebabulinde, the single accident involving the bus Reg no. UBB 869R happened at Buwalula in Mityana district along the Kampala on Thursday at around 4:00am.

Ssebabulinde says the accident was not fatal as no cases of deaths were registered but several people were injured.

The injured have been admitted in several hospitals in Mityana and Kampala.
Ssebabulinde adds that they are hunting for the bus driver who is on the run.

The cause of the accident remains unknown.

Ssebabulinde however says they are investigating the possibility of over speeding or fatigue on the side of the driver.
