Parliament passes amendments to Public Health Act

On Tuesday, Parliament passed the Public Health Amendment Bill 2021 but with the rejection of a proposal by the government for mandatory vaccination of adults in case of an occurrence or threatened outbreak of a disease. The MPs’ decision was based on their reservations on the efficacy of vaccines, especially for new disease and who takes liability in case of any side effects.
