Third boda boda cyclist killed in Soroti

The body of another boda boda man has been recovered next to the home of Soroti Diocese Bishop.

The body was reportedly dumped next to Bishop George William Erwau’s home in Maroon quarters.

Police spokesperson for East Kyoga, Michael Odongo identified the deceased as Mr Solomon Osilo from Ngora District.

He said the body had bruises on the neck, indicating that he could have been strangled.

Mr Odongo said Osilo was picked by unidentified assailants from one of the video halls in town after the match be-tween Arsenal and Chelsea, only to be robbed of his motorbike and killed.

“We have always advised boda boda cyclists to avoid risks of night operations, but the urge to make money seems to override them,” Mr Odongo explained.
Police say they have intensified investigation on the killers.

It should be remembered that towards Christmas, Samuel Bernard Emalu, another boda boda cyclist was killed and body dumped at Father Hilders in Soroti District.

This came shortly after another boda cyclist only identified as Enomu was also killed in similar instances.
