Among the few positives KCCA carried away from the Caf Champions League barren draw with St George on Wednesday was registering a rare away clean sheet.
Yet KCCA manager Mike Mutebi says it may haunt them in the return leg at Lugogo on March 17 if they rest on their laurels.
“It is going to be difficult because we failed to score however we are advantageous because we are home.
“I would be confident if we played a team that was not creative but I know St George will create chances,” Mutebi revealed.
He admitted to changing his philosophy to contain St George in Addis Ababa.
“Their game approach was good. They made us organize together as a team and forced us not to play our game. We were more defensive to negate their passing.”
Mutebi predicts a tougher onslaught from the Ethiopians who had Ugandan custodian Robert Odongkara to thank not to concede from Paul Mucureezi and Allan Okello shots. Derrick Nsibambi rattled the crossbar from a header off a Kizza Mustafa delivery down the left flank.
