KAMPALA.

SC Villa president Ben Misagga insists the outburst between his coaches Wasswa Bbosa and Paul Mukatabala is normal.
With Bbosa still serving a four-match touchline ban for confronting a match official, his assistant Mukatabala has been in charge of the previous three games, including a 2-0 victory over Kirinya-Jinja last week.
But a silent feud soon went full blown when Mukatabala went on his Facebook page and accused Wasswa of attacking him after Villa went down to UPDF 1-0 in Bombo on Saturday.
“The last straw is for you (Bbosa) to angrily confront me immediately after the UPDF match today, and even try to get physical, accusing me of having deliberately allowed UPDF to defeat you and SCVilla,” posted Mukatabala, a former Villa player.
“Till I die, no one will ever compromise me about SC Villa. SC Villa is my life and blood.
“Success above anything else, is what matters to me, when it comes to SC Villa. Period.”
But Villa president Misagga was quick to tell Daily Monitor that disagreements are just normal, and that he expects the two coaches to see out the season together.
“Bossa and Mukatabala are great season coaches,” said Misagga, “It’s only the heat in the moment.
“Villa is bigger than all of us and our zeal is to play our remaining games with dignity and respect.
“Working together does not necessarily mean we should be friends, but only working colleagues.”
Interestingly, Mukatabala was earlier credited for reportedly bridging the gap between Bbosa, who is associated with Express, and Villa fans.
Mukatabala claimed Bbosa has been going behind his back and blackmailing him before Misagga and club officials, something that the former confronted the Villa president on.
“I have spoken to these guys many times but the truth is Bossa is not a groom to Paul neither Bossa is a bride of Paul, so they are bound to disagree with each other,” Misagga noted. “Paul and Bossa should pay reverence and homage to the coaching norms and ethics.
“Action I take is to pump sense in them because Paul was brought and recommended by Bossa.”
Other sources, however, say the recommendation was made from high places at Fufa, who even met the three Villa parties and agreed on terms of work.
Misagga said the two will likely face the club’s displinary committee, which sits after 14 days notice. The notice could be made today.
Mukatabala says he has confronted Bbosa several times on the allegations that the former was backstabbing the latter but his boss has been denying.
“Well, at least today, you can’t deny it. I have seen and heard you say to my face,” Mukatabala told Bbosa on Facebook.
“It keeps puzzling me, why someone I take as a brother, and have nothing against, is constantly feeling insecure about me. What is the problem?”
The problem? Bbosa actually agrees with Mukatabala’s claims. “He (Mukatabala) is the problem,” Bbosa told Daily Monitor, “It’s true he is doing things to fail me.
“The things he is doing it’s as if he wants the club to lose... We are pressing UPDF and he is replacing Mahadi Kakooza and Allan Kyambadde who are testing the other goalkeeper. Many things.
“I don’t think I can continue working with him. After my suspension, I’ll see out my contract and leave him to ‘die at Villa’ like he said.
“On our relationship after my ban, I’ll first sit with my president and see how to go forward.”
The feud and defeat left Villa five points behind Vipers (58), giving the Venoms an all-clear to potentially surge to the title with three matches to go.
