Glammed up at Veronica’s Wish movie premiere

Party people. Ugandan socialites are always looking for a chance to put on their glad rags and bask in the limelight. Last Saturday’s premiere of local movie Veronica’s Wish was a perfect excuse to sizzle and dazzle on the red carpet, writes Esther Oluka.

If you love watching movies, you should have been at Kampala Serena Hotel last Saturday for the premiere of Veronica’s Wish, a film revolving around Micheal and Veronica who are engaged to marry but their journey takes a drastic turn when Veronica gets hit by a mysterious illness. In prospect of uncertain time, Veronica must choose between love and saving lives.

For a relatively new producer, Nisha Kalema attracted an impressive array of local celebrities. The guests came dressed to the nines ready to watch the movie and also, socialise with the cast members.
Being an evening event, the ladies dressed for the nightfall with a number of them opting for gowns and dresses.

Some of the famous faces at the event included women from different professions including business, fashion, media and film industry itself. Here is a sneak peak of some of the fashion highlights from the event.
