Kampala. After critically analysing the team’s previous performances, especially in the friendly-test series that the She Cranes lost 3-0 to a superior English side, coaches believe they have identified key aspects to work-on before the sides meet again.
She Cranes were pitted in group D of the world event alongside England, Samoa and Scotland.

With shooters Mary Nuba and Peace Proscovia improving their game day by day, coach Nelson Bogere is pleased with their accuracy levels but bothered by the lack of ball getting into their hands.
“From our centre pass we get too isolated in taking the ball to the shooting end, so that’s a huge area we need to improve,” Bogere said.

Disappointing trip
“None of us was happy with the England result, but any game against England is a huge one and the only way to fit in is working on our weaknesses,” he added.

Meanwhile Wilberforce Mutete the head of coaching department is bothered with players losing focus.

“Unlike other nations that treat netball as a career, in Uganda, players have a lot of things to take care of outside the pitch including careers, parents, and children among others that have made them loose focus during training,” he said.
For this matter, Mutete reiterated that players are to enter residential camp sooner than before in order to concentrate entirely on the game.
